What changes in the Switch 2 Edition?

Nintendo describes Dandori Academy, visual improvements and Oatchi microphone commands as additions. This guide does not invent a resolution, frame-rate target or performance comparison: those numeric specifications were not verified in the source material. The original adventure remains the context for these additions rather than a different game with unrelated progression.

The announced full release is 12 November 2026, which is upcoming as of this page’s 3 November verification. Check your regional store for its exact offer and release timing before purchase.

What can you try in the demo?

Nintendo’s demo announcement includes the opening adventure in Sun-Speckled Terrace and two Academy courses. The adventure has a 1,500 Sparklium boundary. The official English course names are Mushroom Mash and Treat Transport. See their records in the Academy database for source links and visible gaps in course-specific evidence.

Voice commands are not available in the demo. A missing microphone option there is therefore not evidence that your full-edition setup will fail. Practice is also different from a scheduled Academy exam; the Academy beginner guide explains the opening schedule.

How does demo progress transfer?

Nintendo says demo data can carry across. Its Japanese announcement adds an important existing-player distinction: when Pikmin 4 has already been played, only the newly added Academy progress is additionally transferred. Do not interpret a generic “save transfer” headline as a promise to replace an existing story save with demo progress.

Before transferring, read the actual prompts on the console and confirm the user account and save being referenced. This site does not provide a save editor or interact with Nintendo save data.

What does GameShare cover?

The product page advertises GameShare for Dandori Battles, including local sharing or online play through GameChat. Do not extend that statement to full story exploration or Academy. The original story support mode uses a Pebble Pitcher, which is another distinct feature rather than proof of two equal captains in story co-op.

Which purchase path should existing owners inspect?

Compare the Upgrade Pack with the full edition in the official regional store. The pack requires the original game and the new features are for Switch 2.
